Hi, I'm Jessie!

I am an oil painter from Hope BC. I have always been an animal lover, and wildlife fanatic. I paint what I love so for me, animals it is! I also paint landscape scenery, but for the most part, everything must contain some sort of animal. I have always been fairly artistic, but it wasn't until 2025 that I really decided to get deeper into oil painting, and try to make that my career. It's not an easy route and I've definitely wavered on it and had my doubts. But hey, life's too short to get a real job!

I love the idea of creating art that is accessible to people. The fancy gallaries don't appeal to me as much as just getting pieces into homes where they'll be enjoyed. For this reason I love creating mini paintings, as I can get these completed fairly quickly and sell them for affordable prices. As an artist with ADHD, it's also great to be able to create a piece in one sitting!

While I have been developing my style over the past while, I think I've got it down now! (for the most part). You'll find most of my work is comprised of loose brush strokes. While I used to focus in on finer details, I now more enjoy letting the paint speak for itself. I love the soft, loose brush stroke style of oil painting, so this is what I have been focusing in on.

I'm still completely new to this selling my art thing, but recently started an Etsy! I will also begin selling at markets this summer, so fingers crossed I make at least 50 bucks. If you have something in mind that you'd like though, maybe a pet portrait, or a wall that's just looking too empty, give me a shout!
